Anonymous asked: I'm going to Notre Dame next year. What's the best women's hall to live in?

It’s hard to say, because honestly what you put into it, is what you get out.    I will say though, whomever makes the random decision to place you in a specific dorm does a fantastic job.  Everyone I’ve ever known at Notre Dame, has truly fit what dorm they were place in.  The dorms create a system where each dorm is comparable to a sorority or fraternity, except you don’t choose who to join, they choose you.  You’ll have so many activities, ‘initiation,’  charity events, dances, the whole shebang.  You’ll even meet my mom no matter what dorm you end up at! (Weird right? You don’t even know me, and you’re going to meet my mom this fall…) Anyway, click through to this http://housing.nd.edu/undergraduate/residence-halls/

My advice is to read through each profile, because honestly, it depends on your major and what activities you want to be involved with that will determine your best fit.  Or message me off anon and we can talk more about campus and what fits you!

I lived in PE.  Though I wasn’t involved all that much, I LOVED my roommates and the girls there.  I was typically in Lewis though, and looked at as an honorary Lewis resident. (It was closer to Bond, my future roomies live there, etc. but I talk more to my friends from PE still (two of them are my best friends) than anyone from Lewis if that tells you anything…)

I’m so excited for you to become a domer! Congrats and welcome to the family :)

Even Notre Dame has to make a Harlem Shake video.  I’m amazed everyone in this area of LaFun was down for this… Anything to avoid studying I guess.

I’d like to apologize now for the possible overload of all things Notre Dame I post in the next few days.  Really, I’m not sorry though.  I’m so excited to be reunited with classmates and friends and so proud to be an alumni of her great university.  LOVE THEE NOTRE DAME.

This little nugget.  I hadn’t seen him in three and a half months and he still remembers who I am :)   Love him more than words can express!

I was asked, ever so kindly, by @southernanchors to post some pics of graduation cap details.  The graduating architecture class at Notre Dame takes this tradition quite seriously (as in, your basically an outcast if you don’t do it.)  For my cap, I chose Alys Beach.  I spent many breaks during school on 30A, whether in Seaside, Rosemary Beach, or Alys Beach, so I decided it was only proper to do a tribute!  So, this was my rendition (I think I literally made it in a good 30 minutes if that) of the entrance of Alys Beach.  (Oh, and some actually pics for y’all to see what it really looks like.)  *I do not take credit for the last two photos*
